Swimmers like a parka to keep warm on deck at competitions, particularly during figures events. The parkas are long enough that when they crouch down, they're completely covered.

Weights
Divemar's Durward Ankle Weights, which scuba divers wear around their ankles, synchronized swimmers clip together and wear around their waists. They are available at Ocean Sports for about $50, or the smaller ones for the yellow group can be purchased at Dive Outfitters on the West End for about $40.
Purchase these only if directed to do so by your coach.
